The middle of the scarf is hand-woven in a traditional basket weave pattern while the two ends are hand-knotted with a contemporary fishnet design, and finished with a delicate hand twisted fringe.

Washing Instructions:	Hand wash gently in mild detergent. Hang to dry in the shade and iron with a low heat setting with lots of steam or while scarf is still a little damp.

The production of traditional silk is a labour intensive project which can involve many people in many different aspects of the community. From the growing of mulberry trees to the creation of natural dyes, hand-crafted silk production utilises local labour, local knowledge, and local resources.
