This unique and stylish scarf design is inspired by the century old fishnet-making traditions that remain in practice in rural Laos. Combining ancient Lao traditions with contemporary style Mulberries Fisherman’s Shawl is a modern take on the traditional silk scarf. Both luxuriously soft and incredibly strong traditional Lao silk is an integral part in Laos cultural artistic heritage.

These scarves are hand-knotted with a fishnet design and finished with a hand twisted fringe. Made from 100% Lao organic silk, hand spun and naturally dyed.

Washing Instructions	Hand wash gently in mild detergent. Hang to dry in the shade and iron with a low heat setting with lots of steam or while scarf is still a little damp.

Multi-award winning Mulberries is a Fair Trade company that seek to creates employment for Lao people in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. The production of traditional silk is a labour intensive project which can involve many people in many different aspects of the community. From the growing of mulberry trees to the creation of natural dyes, hand-crafted silk production utilises local labour, local knowledge, and local resources. This, in turn, encourages village self-sufficiency and productivity.
